A production at the Konzerthaus Berlin
The hall fills with wave play, water gurgles and whale song - but don't worry, we all stay dry. A cello plays folk songs from the Emerald Isle, the bubbling of a school of fish comes from a trombone and jellyfish dance to the sound of shells. Then one of the most beautiful sea tales ever is washed up as a shadow play - the one about the Selkie woman, her fisherman, their common child and the insatiable longing for the sea.
